A: One of Artistic Academy’s sister companies is DePasquale Salon Systems, a professional beauty distributorship that services over 20,000 Salon’s and Spa’s along the East Coast. Salons and Spas purchasing our products know Artistic Academy’s reputation for producing graduates that not only secure a strong foundation, but are already trained in the products the Salons and Spas are utilizing. Q: Does Artistic Academy offer job placement?
A: Absolutely! Artistic Academy offers lifetime availability for all graduates with respect to job placement! Artistic Academy currently placed over 95% of its graduating class last year!
Q: When can I register for class?
A: When are you available? Eligible students may register for their program of study as close as 2 weeks prior to the start date of class. We suggest registering as far in advance as possible as classes fill quickly!
Q: What qualifications must I meet in order to begin classes?
A: You must hold a High School Diploma or a GED prior to the first day of school. Students may register (sign an enrollment agreement) while they are still attending High School, however they must achieve their Diploma prior to their first day of class.
Q: How much is the tuition?
A: Artistic Academy’s hourly tuition rate is $12.55 per hour. The majority of our graduates are earning $18.25 per hour once licensed!
Q: Do you offer Financial Aid?
A: Yes, Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. If you are a U.S. Citizen, or an eligible non-citizen you may complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.ed.gov
Q: When are student loans repaid?
A: Most student loans enter repayment 6 months after the student graduates.
Q: Do you require an application fee?
A: Artistic Academy does not charge an application fee.
Q: Is there a registration fee?
A: Artistic Academy’s registration fee is $100.00.
Q: Is there an entrance exam?
A: Artistic Academy does not require an entrance exam, however you will need to complete a potential student questionnaire and tour our campus prior to enrollment.
Q: Do you offer full time and part time classes?
A: YES! Artistic Academy offers a full time program consisting of 30 hours per week and a part time program which consists of 16 hours per week.
Q: May I change my schedule?
A: Artistic Academy does offer students the ability to request a schedule change.
Q: How soon before a class starts should I register?
A: Artistic Academy registers students whom are 16 years of age or older. Many students sign an enrollment agreement their junior or senior year in High School. Should you be interested in beginning classes in the fall, it is important to secure your education atleast 6 months to a year prior to your start date. Artistic Academy’s classes are in high demand and you may have to postpone your start date if you wait to long!
Q: How long does it take to complete the program?
A: In as little as 5 months for our Aesthetics course and 10 months for our Cosmetology course. Keep in mind; you are eligible for a student permit in as little as 2 ½ months for the Aesthetics program and 5 months for the Cosmetology program, this allows you to begin working in the Student Salon and Spa.
Q: What is a Student permit and am I restricted to only working in the Academy’s Student Salon and Spa?
A: In the state of New Jersey once you complete 50% of your hourly program you are eligible to complete an application for a student permit. The majority of the remaining hours of your course will consist of working on clients and completing consultations, manicures, pedicures, haircuts, color, facials, back facials and much more! You are not restricted to only working in the Academy’s Student Salon and Spa, however if you choose to work in the industry your hours of employment may not interfere with the hours you are registered to be in school.
Q: When may I start?
A: Artistic Academy begins classes quarterly. We stager our class start dates between the day and evening sessions calling for 9 monthly starts per calendar year so you never have to wait too long to begin your education!
Q: Do you provide dormitories?
A: Artistic Academy does not provide dorms at this time. We do however have students in attendance from New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. If you are looking to relocate there is plenty of availability in apartment complexes in the Morris Plains, New Jersey area that rent month to month. One should never choose a School based on proximity, the choice needs to be made based on who will provide you with the BEST education.
