attendance

Artistic Academy requires all students to maintain a minimum of an 80% attendance rate in order for the student to maintain satisfactory progress. The student is permitted 3 lates each month which will be considered absent hours. All absent hours will be permitted to be made up during the designated make-up schedule. Students are informed of their class schedule as per their enrollment agreement (contract) and it is their responsibility to follow these guidelines. In accordance with New Jersey State Law, Artistic Academy does not grant hours for school not attended. If hours of extra instruction must be made up after a student's scheduled ending date, there will be an overtime charge of $13.00 per hour.

 

dress code

students are required to purchase uniforms prior to their scheduled start date. As a State Board Regulation, only students dressed in proper uniform will be eligible to gain access to the classrooms. Uniforms consist of black dress pants, black, leather, rubber sole, closed toe, closed heel shoes with stockings or socks. Lab coats must be worn at all times. Underclassmen students must wear white lab coats while senior students must wear navy blue lab coats. Identification badges and uniform tops are included in the student kits and must be worn at all times as dictated by The State Board.

full Time:

Monday-Friday 9:00AM - 3:30PM | 30 hours weekly

part Time:

Monday-Thursday 6:00PM - 10:00PM | 16 hours weekly

school calendar

New students are admitted to class on the first Monday of selected months in which their course begins/is offered. Full time and part time schedules are available. Classes are held throughout the year with no formal closing period. Unexpected closing due to inclement weather is recorded on Artistic Academy's main voice mail number, 973.656.1401. The following televised channels will also report any school closings, WNYW Fox 5 New York” Channel WCBS 2 News New York.

re-enrollments

Any student who cancels his/her enrollment agreement (contract) and wishes to re-enroll will be given a written and practical examination to determine how many hours will be credited. All debts from the previous contract will be added to the new contract.
