Beauty School Progress
Throughout the course, students will take examinations in every phase of study. Practical tests have several components in which the individual is assessed. The cumulative grade of each practical must meet a minimum of 75% or higher to deem a passing grade. Students must maintain an average of 75% or "C" average at a minimum on all tests. If students fail to obtain at least 75% on any given test they may retake it. The following represents the equivalence to a letter grade:
100 - 95...A
94 - 85....B
84 - 75....C
74 - Below...Failing
Theory (written) exams, practical exams and clinic practical work are all graded on a 0 - 100% basis: 74% or below is failing.
Daily records are kept by the school for each student's progress and attendance. Students will be given a written record of their progress periodically. If a student's progress does not agree with the standards of the Academy, the student will be notified and placed on probation. If at the end of the probationary period the student's work and grades have not improved, it may be necessary to interrupt the training of the student.
Students that lack the proper aptitude, attitude, and professional conduct for the course of beauty culture will be so advised and their training discontinued.
